Start indoors 6-10 weeks before the last frost, then transplant after all threat of frost has passed. Plant in full sun, in soil with moderate fertility. Cover with row cover to give plants a heat boost, okra thrives in hot temperatures and long summers. Uncover when flowers appear. Harvest pods often, when 4-6" long. Bigger pods may become tough.
