Artists Ayumi is a studio potter and ceramic artist who works in the Hudson Valley of New York making functional, handmade pottery for use in kitchens, offices, and cars everywhere. The pots are distinctly handmade, where idiosyncrasies and imperfections are celebrated as evidence of human vulnerabilities and foibles. Her drawings, like the rat she created for our Art Packs, mix Japanese and American folk traditions with an appreciation for contemporary images. While Ayumi spends most of her time in the studio making pottery, she also teaches workshops across the country at schools and arts organizations such as the Archie Bray Foundation, Haystack Mountain School of Craft, Greenwich House Pottery, Arrowmont School of Arts and Crafts, the Northern Clay Center and the International Ceramic Research Center. Her studio is open for visits by appointment and during her annual studio sale. Colorful, sweet, fun, creative and eco-conscious wrapping paper, gift boxes, custom package design, and more. Farms & Markets Winter Sun Farms is a winter CSA that partners with local sustainable farms to supply frozen vegetables all winter long. We bring our seeds to their thriving winter farmers markets.
