Direct sow in well-prepared soil in early spring by casting seeds on soil surface. Agitate the soil to keep them in place. Alternately, start indoors 6-8 weeks before last frost and transplant outdoors when seedlings are a few inches high. Daisies prefer partial shade and cooler temperatures. This perennial might not flower the first year, but is likely to flower the second year. Thin every couple of years; English Daisies tend to clump.
