Details

As the popularity of edible landscaping grows, we've seen beautiful plants dubbed edible that frankly aren't so tasty--and delicious plants written up as strictly ornamental. Most ornamental peppers are edible but too hot for our palates. This is one of the few that adds bright colors to a landscape and produces small sweet peppers for fresh eating or for pickling whole (it's also known as Sweet Pickle Pepper). Fruits ripen in stages and each plant will have green, yellow, purple, orange, and red peppers all at the same time. It's one of the easiest peppers to grow--in containers or any garden plot with high visibility.
